Commissum is pleased to announce that it has recently been awarded STAR (Simulated Targeted Attack and Response) service provider status by global industry body CREST.
Working alongside the Bank of England (BoE), UK Government and industry, CREST developed the STAR framework to deliver controlled bespoke, intelligence-led cyber security testing. STAR incorporates advanced penetration testing and threat intelligence services to replicate cyber security threats more accurately to critical assets.
The framework ensures that all intelligence-led penetration tests, or Red Team engagements, conducted by an accredited company are up to standards imposed by regulators.
After rigorous assessment, Commissum has now been accepted onto the CREST STAR framework and is one of only 27 companies currently accredited globally.
Dhruv Bisani, Commissum’s Head of Red Team, had the following words to offer:
“The industry is now fully embracing Red Teaming as part of standard assurance activities and gaining STAR status ensures we are accredited as an expert organisation and our processes are independently validated. I’m pleased for the team as they have worked hard to achieve this, and we look forward to continuing to help our clients.”
Boglarka Ronto, Chief Operating Officer of Commissum and CREST Board Member, added:
“Receiving the CREST STAR accreditation is a further enhancement to our comprehensive offering. We are unique in the UK as we now have an end-to-end cyber offering meaning Government and enterprise clients have an accredited, single source supplier of cyber technical assurance & testing, advisory & audit, Red Team and 24×7 SOC Blue Team as well Digital Forensics and Cyber Incident Response services. We are seeing increasingly that being able to provide these services at scale and speed is what the mature UK market requires and we are delighted to be the first cyber organisation in the UK to offer all of these services.”
