Jay brings 15 years of sector experience, a Masters with distinction in Information Security, further professional qualifications in ISO27001 auditing and implementing, PRINCE2 project management and status as a founder member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals to the role and is an asset to the firm’s continued reputation for excellence. Jay accrued his experience prior to joining Commissum working with high profile companies in both technical and advisory capacities on information governance and risk management projects. His breadth of experience and wealth of knowledge help stand him in excellent stead for the challenges ahead. Jay said, “Information security is constantly evolving, and Commissum’s agility and commitment to excellence helps us keep pace with the times. I am excited for this new challenge with Commissum and look forward to fostering growth in new areas, including our in house Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) offering.”

As Chief Operating Officer, Jay will be working closely with the CEO in evolving Commissum’s strategy, as well as operationally overseeing the delivery of the extensive portfolio of consultancy services to Commissum’s clients; encompassing governance, risk management, compliance, penetration testing and managed services. Commissum has seen subtle shifts in the developing markets for consultancy and managed security services in recent times and this appointment will contribute to the effort to accommodate and meet those demands.

Martin Finch, Chief Executive Officer of Commissum, said, “We are excited about Jay’s promotion which reinforces the management structure at Commissum. His ongoing contribution adds demonstrable value to Commissum and his strong background in managed services will be intrinsic to Commissum’s expansion in this area.
