On Tuesday 14th October, Commissum exhibited at what was the largest conference for C-level professionals from the entire legal sector – ‘London Law Expo 2014′. The event was completely sold out, and was attended by over 3000 visitors.
The Commissum stand was visited by a wide range of conference delegates, including directors and partners of some of the largest legal services organisations in the UK, as well as representatives from more niche organisations and complimentary service providers.
Our senior consultant Jay George was invited to deliver a presentation to delegates, as part of the wide ranging conference knowledge and workshop sessions. He posed the question to delegates of whether their existing security management frameworks were indeed fit for purpose. His talk covered the different available Information Security Management frameworks, illustrating these with a focus on ISO27001 and the new Government Backed Scheme – Cyber Essentials. Drawing on his substantial experience, Jay successfully tailored his speech for the audience, referring specifically to the needs of the Legal Sector, and offered the audience insights as how to best select the most suitable framework for their particular organisations. Jay’s experience across the public and private sectors, make him the ideal candidate when suggesting solutions to the information security, governance and risk management challenges every legal sector organisation is facing in today’s connected and information enabled world.
